6 MAKE-UP TIPS TO RING IN THE NEW YEAR BY CERAH HERNANDEZ

A lady must welcome the New Year with a bang! And we, here in STYLE MNL, are lucky to have Cerah Hernandez grace one of our Beauty entries for the coming 2016!

For those who doesn’t know who this pretty girl is, or for the benefit of our readers abroad,  Cerah Hernandez is a multi-slasher– so to speak- she’s a host, she used to be a Radio DJ, she’s a video blogger and she really love doing make up. She was listed as one of the prettiest Radio DJ’s in Manila by WheninManila, and we couldn’t agree more to that.

Having said that, We thought that it is just fitting for her to be our page guest to glam you up ladies this 2016. Read her 6 tips below and try it on!

ORANGE DUES

FOR ORANGE

A bright red lip is always a great way to make a statement and complete a holiday look, but as a morena kind of Filipina, I’ve developed a beautiful relationship with orange toned reds, browns and pinks as of late. Something about the warmness of orange tones just really compliments our olive skin and makes us glow even more.

So, if we have the same skin tone, I suggest that you invest more on these palettes that will highlight your beauty and make you standout.

A PERFECT MATTE-CH

2015 has been all about the 90s matte slash Kylie Jenner look and if you haven’t explored the beauty of the earth toned look recently, this is a good excuse to try out something un-you. It’s really as simple as: yes to matte powder and no to shimmer, neutral eyeshadow, a little black liner plus a MATTE(must!) brown or burgundy lip and you are GOOD.

SPEAKING OF BURGUNDY

speaking of burgundy
Another great color to try this NYE is a deep red purple to match a flawless face and maybe a winged liner plus lashes! If you’re not used to a shade this dark, matte over satin or gloss is easier to manage especially with all the eating and talking you’ll be doing tonight!

SHIMMER ME TIMBERS!

shimmer me timberA shimmery eye look is a given during the holidays and is a nice way to mimic the festive environment. Gold, silver and black is always good and even better in a smokey eye look. Time to search “gold smokey eye” on YouTube, girls!

LET YOUR SKIN DO THE TALKING

skin talkIf you’re not the lipstick or eye shadow type of gal, then let’s focus on your skin and your structure instead. Make sure you have a flawless face whether you go for a glow or a matte one, a nice noticeable but not OTT (over the top) contour will do you and your photos wonders, some blush for a healthy youthful look and lots of mascara should do the trick!

Something extra: spray a makeup finisher to blend your foundation, powder and blush plus it helps make it last all night long, too!

GO GLAM OR GO HOME

glam
Whether you’re a makeup newbie or master, you must go GLAM when you celebrate the incoming new year! Go for a bold lip color or fun/fluttery lashes if your regular look is mostly a bare face to take things up a notch for this special occasion. For the more makeup savvy ones, go for glitter and a flawless face and maybe add a fun lip to really end the year with a bang!

FINAL WORDS FROM CERAH

Basically, go the extra mile even just for tonight. This is one occasion where you can and should do a little extra, and nobody can say a thing! Who knows, you might like it and you already have something new and fun to rock for 2016? Either way, enjoy tonight’s festivities with your best beauty enhancer which is your smile and your smize (aka your inner Ms. Universe!) and ring in the New Year with love, positivity and openness… To trying more makeup looks for 2016!
