Gaga, where art thou? She’s been keeping a quiet mantra for quite some time now, right? After releasing a collaborative single/album with Tony Bennett, a Horror series, and some others, we heard nothing about the Mother Monster.
This 2016, for their 99th issue, V Magazine brought in Lady Gaga as their guest editor and she took it very well creating not only 3 covers for the glossy, not a dozen, but sixteen flashy covers! Each dedicating to those who have inspired her music and fashion.
Inez and Vinoodh took the images and we can say that Gaga made some serious work, really! Even putting up a postcoital image of her and long time fiancé, Taylor Kinney. Inside, she revealed that Kinney has wanted to do the nasty on canvas for a long time. “We made love on this canvas on a Sunday in Chicago. We made love amidst chaos. We talked about shootings. We made love amidst terrorism. And we talked about how people’s hearts are also suffering all over the world as they watch and witness a swell of violence. We made love amidst violence,”
And in an interview with James Franco inside the issue (currently only in print), Gaga spoke to James Franco about her upcoming studio album, which is expected to drop later this year which is going to be less ARTPOP.
Gaga added that proceeds of the magazine sales will go straight to her BORN THIS WAY FOUNDATION.
Good job Mother Monster! At least we will hear you sing this year and hoping for many more other surprises to come!
For now, check put the other covers of V below.
