Outside, the morning light was fine. The humid breeze in Ayala Heights was pretty complimenting, everyone’s busy preparing the rack of suits, and piling up the boxes of shoes for the shoot. Then suddenly, the velvet maroon curtain parted- there, stand a man in his black v-neck tee and a pair of indigo jeans. Wearing his classic Louis Vuitton shades he wades inside the studio and greeted everyone with a smile.

Daniel Matsunaga is a dashing demigod, backed with charm and grace and he’s up to take greater heights in his career.

As most of you know, the 25-year old Brazilian-Japanese model is not a new kid on the block, he’s been in the business for almost 10 years and Daniel have won the respect and adoration of many, from humongous billboards, numerous endorsements and countless editorial in more than ten countries, you’ll surely capitulate listing down his track marks.

What do you love about Brazil?

I love spending summer in Brazil, I love almost everything about my country as much as I love the Philippines. People there are also warm and cheerful.

We see that you are really close to your family, what’s your relationship with your family back in Brazil?

You’re right, we’re a fun bunch! I’m very close to them. Before, my mom would call me almost everyday for ten years. I always miss them.

You’ve been staying here for quite a long time, right? what’s your favorite beach destination?

I’ve been to Subic, Batangas, Quezon. I love Boracay and Palawan. Each has their own characteristics that made me love this country even more.

How do you take care of your body?

I workout and play sports, I’m a midfielder for Stallion Sta.Lucia Division 1 of United Football League, so i grain every morning, 2-3 hours a day. I also go to the gym and try to concentrate in toning my muscles. I also, do not smoke and i occasionally drink, so whenever i have tapings, castings I just kill my time by checking instagram and the internet.

What do you feel when girls screams out your name and hails you as one of the hottest celebrity in the country?

-I feel flattered syempre, and thankful that people find me sexy, Not all were given that title naman.

What do you consider is the sexiest part of your body?

-I say its my chest and abdominals. As much as possible I try to keep up with myself and the indutry’s demand by keeping myself fit and in well form.

What’s in it for Daniel Matsunaga?

-I want to venture myself into workshops that will help me grow as an actor and hone my talent. Showbiz is fun and more sturdy but i wont leave modelling. I also wanna work with Anne Curtis, Sollen Heusaff, Angel Locsin and Sam Pinto.

What is your ideal girl?

I don’t have a strict criteria but I’d go for girls with smooth skin, good scent and nice smile. I also look at the personality so i really prefer knowing and meeting the girl muna.

What’s your style?

I love to wear simple at the same time sleek and elegant pieces, i dont go over the top and -as much as possible- i stay on the safe and class type of dressing. One thing’s for sure, i cant go out without my sunglasses.

What’s your style trick to stand out in a crowd?

Wear heels- no, seriously, you must stay neat and clean, workout and mind your hair. I always believe that when you feel good about yourself, you’ll definitely look good on the outside, so it reflects talaga.
