Last Friday, H&M released their very first Ad campaign for their collaboration with Balmain. The Balmain x H&M campaign is fronted by Kendall Jenner, Gigi Hadid and Jourdan Dunn alongside male models Hao Yun Xiang and Dudley O’Shaughnessy.

Sure! we are dazzled by the campaign photos, but here’s what you need to know before grabbing a piece of this collaboration. Fret not, our pointers will just ready you for some serious shopping

The Accessories

Like any other collaborations, the H&M x Balmain collection woldn’t be complete without the punctuation. The accessories are HUGE! Armour-like rings, chunky necklaces, thick gold bracelets, massive earrings and not to mention, Gigi’s bedazzled clutch. Be sure to get a piece or two to compliment your overall Balmain look when you strut the Holiday this season.  Subtle? Not!

The collection for Men

We sure know that guys nowadays are even more abreast with what’s going on the fashion world. Thus, this collaboration will not only give out fash-picks for ladies but also for guys! just like what you saw in the latest campaign the collection features Blazers, Jackets, Trousers and yes textured pants for guys, so your man should also be ready.

The collection wont disappoint

Every year, H&M make it a point to give off fairly-priced designer pieces to its customers. This year we are just so lucky to see that Balmain’s collabo-collection is somewhat a snatch from the expensive mainline. You’ll see that in Jourdan Dunn’s ruched skirt  looked to have walked straight off the AW13 catwalk, and top from the AW14 collection and Jenner’s blazer dress.

Prepare to fall in love with Olivier Rousteing

Aside from his defining cheekbones, the 29 year-old creative Director of Balmain, Oliviert Roustening is already a trailblazer who knows how to set the industry on fire. In one of his interview clip released by H&M, he speaks about fashion and his past: “I was in an orphange, I didn’t know my parents,” he says. “…so I always used clothes to actually identify myself. When you wear clothes, you create a world, you create your own world. I think Balmain today is a vision of the new world.”

He added to his interview that he’s really a fan of H&M that he would line up for two to three hours just to get the very fist collaboration piece of the brand with Karl Lagerfeld. So we suppose that, you guys must be ready to take a long queue when the collection hit the stores in November.

Be Ready for the #HMBalmainNation

Roustening’s army a.k.a Balmain Nation will take us by storm and you’ll definitely see more of this when the calendar hits October. Leading the armada- of course- is Kendall Jenner and Dunn who constantly rocks the Suede Thigh high boots in every Red carpet affair paired with the collection. Roustening’s army was also joined by Bad blood singer Taylor Swift when she walked the Billboard Awards in white Balmain jumpsuit, therefore bringing the brand to a whole new audience of Swift-loving fans – which equals yet more competition when it comes to the H&M dash and grab.

Some pieces are not that affordable.

Though our pockets may be ready for November 5, we are sorry to say but there will be some pieces from the collection that wont be purse-friendly. Case in point: this ‘limited edition’ embellished dress worn by Gigi Hadid to a NYFW party. But this should worth every penny, so SAVE!

We’re counting down the days until 5th November! And while we are heating the cauldron for this collection we suggest that you stay calm and composed, save for an early Holiday treat, right? After all this only happens once a year and this might not happen again so dig!
