Technology has been spawned by jittery stories cascaded into movies ever since. From Scream, Text, The Ring and Stay Alive, all these movies made use of a certain technology to creep the hell out of us. This April, Universal studios is out to haunt you with the release of their latest thriller movie, “Unfriended”.
The trailer started with an all too real video of high school girl, Laura- fun, candid and controversial. Boiling down to the catch point of a viral online release of Laura’s presumably assaulted video, ruining her reputation and image that leads her death. One year later, Blaire and five more of Laura’s classmates log on for a group Skype session, but they’re not alone. An anonymous user logs in demanding information about Laura’s video, and one by one things start to go pretty horribly wrong for Team Skype.
