COAST BORACAY: A PLACE WHERE FUN MEETS THE SUN

Welcome to a place where fun meets the sun. A place where you can let the #Funshine redefine your Boracay Beach getaway experience.

With its powdery soft sand and crystal clear waters, Boracay has become a great destination for people who love the beach and the sun.

Much has been said about its beauty, and a lot have bragged about their harbored experiences from the island, but what sets my experience different from the others- apart from its ever-changing sunsets and how miraculously it can envelop you to a blissful multicolored blanket of the skies– is my stay in one of the chicest boutique hotels on the island called,  Coast Boracay.

Coast Boracay is managed by Raintree Hospitality Group– the team behind some of the finest restaurants in the Metro- and owned by the Beach Design Hotel Group. The gorgeous, pristine, white building is a block made up of 71 exquisite rooms spanning three floors that evoke fun and relaxation: The Loft, One-Bedroom Suite, Premier, Deluxe, and Blue Marina.

The hotel is perfectly situated in Station 2, facing the serene shores of White Beach.  It boasts an open-air restaurant named Cha-Cha’s which features a deck where you can dine and wine while people watching or sunset dreaming.

Coast has a gorgeous wooden panel and a pond inside their receiving area which will greet the guests as they enter the hotel. Succulents were aptly situated in vases to border its modern-minimalist look and light pieces that punctuate the overall glow of the place.

Branding is key for Coast, and they never failed to floor us with their consistency. Definitive wall murals will welcome you from the lobby that features the island’s most famous feathered friend which you can easily find flying on the island at any given time. Everything is tied in one strong key messaging that millennials and the older generation would really appreciate: Fun and Vibrant.

Too much usage of kind words ain’t enough on what we’ve experienced during our week-long stay in Coast. The moment we landed in Caticlan, we felt like Kings and Queens. We were greeted by their staff-which you can easily identify with their pique polos- and picked up by the hotel van at the airport, then were dropped off at Coast’s receiving villa, where our own jet boat is waiting to transport us to the island.

The constant part of hospitality would make their staff check up on us if we had a good flight, and if the airport transport went smoothly. Upon our arrival, we were all welcomed with a scented cold towel and a glass of refreshment, matched with the genuine Filipino smile from the Coast team.

Sarah Cepe, Guest Relations Manager of Coast, was one of the very first members who gleefully greeted and walked us to our Suite. Much to our surprise, each monitor in our room has a customized welcome note plastered on the screen-as if welcoming us to the jolly holiday that we are about to experience.

Needless to say, the commendable service extended to us by their overall Marketing Manager, Mela Sison which made our trip a remarkable one, and Erika Bustamante, Food and Beverage Manager of Cha-Cha’s who recommended countless dishes that we must try while enjoying our stay in the hotel.

On the side table where a bottle of complimentary red wine, cheese, fresh tropical fruits, and a jar of peanut chocolate sits perfectly a note from their General Manager, Mr. Randy Salvadore that signals me to a perfect holiday.

We were actually told that Coast’s room rates include so many perks and privileges unlike any other hotel in Boracay: A Daily Breakfast for two, Complimentary exclusive Land and Boat transfer, use of the swimming pool, Kids Play Room, Gym, and an Ultrafast Wi-fi connection in all the areas of the hotel.

Most of you might say “Oh! That’s already a given for some of the resorts in Station 1.” But this room feature is one of my favorites. Each room offers free NETFLIX! So if you want to just lounge around inside your room wearing your robe while enjoying a glass of wine and cheese, Netflix is there to keep you company [but seriously, why would you do that, right? I didn’t]. The coast is among the very first hotels to have this perk offered.

Staying true to our heritage, the hotel’s design sensibilities put a lot of emphasis on Filipino craftsmanship. All the furniture you’ll find in the hotel was made in Cebu and most of the accentuating pillows feature Yakan weave.

Don’t let me get started with Cha-Cha’s food offering! Coast intends to serve only top-quality food items to its guest and they ensure this by preparing a specially curated food selection. As a Sinigang lover, I can say that Cha-Cha’s offers the best Guava Sinigang on the whole Island, and it is, indeed, TDF [To Die For]!

Coast also has function rooms named Luna which spans 3 square meters, and Tala 2 sq.m. that can accommodate corporate and social events. They also offer General Merchandise in their General Store, which is open to the public and showcases a number of home-grown products which highlight Filipino craftsmanship and creativity.

Coast is in the process of finishing a spa for guests to enjoy, and they have plans of developing a rooftop bar that will sell cocktails- so imagine sunset sessions while overlooking the ocean on top of the most delighted hotel in Boracay. Quaint, right?

Coast seemed to be a perfect spot for everyone who’s looking for a perfect Boracay getaway. A hotel destination that will not only fill your heart with gladness, your tummy with salivating delights but also your phone with sights worth snapping.

As Marga Buenaventura of Philippine Star has written on her entry, Coast is a five-star hotel experience at four-star prices! And we couldn’t agree more to that.

Some might say that they have already experienced the best of Boracay, but we daresay that you wait until you experience Coast!
