Imagine waking up seeing a long coastline accentuated by clear sky replacing your usual view of the city’s skyscrapers and smog. Think about hearing sounds of crashing waves instead of deafening honks of cars rushing towards work. Let’s face it, we need a breather from this fast-paced life brought to us by the so-called city living.
In one way or the other, you have to book yourself for a treat, at least once a month, to take a breather and enjoy the fruits of your hard-earned labor. This time we name one possible destination for you to take your long-forgotten break, shore for surfers, a nook for sumptuous delicacies, and a peaceful sanctuary for travelers called La Union.
La Union is a province located in the Ilocos Region. The province is bordered by Ilocos Sur to the north, Benguet to the east, Pangasinan to the south, and to the west by the shores of the South China Sea. La Union is a very strategic place a few hours away from Metro Manila where everything is within reach — from nice beaches, freshly prepared food, and inviting nightlife.
