THE PHILIPPINES IS PART OF THE SEVEN RISING STAR COUNTRIES IN TRAVEL IN POST-COVID WORLD SAYS FORBES

While the tourism industry may have suddenly halted due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, Forbes listed down seven countries that will successfully bounce back and could become “rising stars” as places of major tourism in the post-COVID world and The Philippines is one of them.
In the article written by Jared Ranahan, the author described The Philippines as a massive archipelago which has a lot to offer to different kinds of tourists. He identified Manila and Quezon City as the top two destinations to visit if tourists would want to immerse themselves into mainstream Filipino culture.
Ranahan also named Palawan and Boracay as two of the nation’s beaches to offer white-sand shores and crystal clear waters, as well as
countless opportunities to spot some of the endemic plant and animal species of the Philippines.
Tourism Secretary Berna Romulo Puyat was quick to welcome the recognition saying “We are pleased to have received this bit of good news, especially after our industry had been hit hard by the global health pandemic. International recognition, especially by a well-respected publication like Forbes, in this post-COVID-19 world will go a long way in helping the Philippine tourism industry get back on its feet,”.
“With the public’s health and safety in mind, we are preparing our tourism sites in areas now under the Modified General Community Quarantine for their gradual reopening for domestic tourism,” Puyat added.
Other countries on the list include Ethiopia, Iran, Myanmar, Georgia, Slovenia, and Tunisia.
