With or without the coronavirus disease, there’s no stopping Apple in releasing their latest gizmo. Let’s see how this new launch fares in the next days to come.
Apple has just released a new version cheaper, smaller, yet powerful model of iPhone called the SE.
THE MODEL
The new model pretty looks the same as Apple’s past model iPhone 8. Yes! with the home button included and fingerprint scanner, but with the power of an iPhone 11 with an upgraded camera and running with Apple’s latest processor.
THE DISPLAY
iPhone SE is now the smallest of Apple’s iPhones, with a 4.7-inch display. But it is larger than the older iPhone SE it replaces, which had only a 4-inch display.
THE PROCESSOR AND CAMERA
iPhone SE includes the A13 Bionic chip from its top of the line iPhone 11 and 11 Pro. Its camera only includes just a single lens but still gets the software features of those phones such as the Portrait mode and a 4K video quality.
“The first iPhone SE was a hit with many customers who loved its unique combination of small size, high-end performance, and affordable price; the new second-generation iPhone SE builds on that great idea and improves on it in every way — including our best-ever single-camera system for great photos and videos — while still being very affordable,” Apple marketing head Phil Schiller said in a statement.
THE BATTERY LIFE AND CONNECTIVITY
THE PRICE
The new phone starts at $399 in the US, the same price as the existing iPhone SE. That makes it far cheaper than Apple’s other, newer models. Here in the Philippines, the unit retails P26,490 for 64GB, P30,490 for 128GB, and P36,490 for 256GB
It will be available on 24 April in three colors: black, white and red.
