LONGCHAMP CELEBRATES SISTERHOOD WITH A NEW FASHION FILM

J’aime les filles – the iconic song first performed by Jacques Dutronc in the 1960s provides the title and the inspiration for Longchamp’s Fall 2022 advertising film, which spotlights a new generation of female talent.

“I am amazed by the brave, funny, dynamic young women I see practically every day,” says Longchamp Creative Director Sophie Delafontaine. “I wanted this new campaign to be a celebration of that, as well as of the joie de vivre people associate with Longchamp – and, of course, with Paris.”

Accordingly, she assembled a talented, all-female team, comprising director Alice Kong, and actors Annabelle Belmondo and Marion Barbeau, who also happens to be a first soloist with the Paris Opera Ballet. For the film’s soundtrack, J’aime les filles is reinterpreted by French indie pop band Evergreen and their female vocalist Fabienne Débarre.

The song’s humorous lyrics – “I love girls from Megève, I love girls from Saint-Tropez” – accompany the film’s equally light-hearted sequences, as two girlfriends meet up with a list of fun and offbeat things to do, crossing them off as they go. Dance all night, done. Camp out at the Sacré-Coeur, done. Ski in Montmartre, done. Inspire an artist, done.

Of course, the two heroines are the epitome of stylish sisterhood, kitted out in the key looks and vibrant colors of Longchamp’s Fall-Winter 2022 collection as they wander through the winding streets of Montmartre.

The film delivers a concentrated dose of Longchamp’s irresistible mix of energy, optimism, and Parisian flair!
