AIRASIA RESUMES DOMESTIC FLIGHTS STARTING ON APRIL 29

AirAsia is set to resume its operations to serve domestic flights starting from Malaysia, followed by Thailand and the Philippines.

As stated in a report published by AirAsia, the resumption of its services will initially be for key domestic routes, which will include international destinations in the weeks to come, depending on the situation and the government’s lift borders and travel restrictions.

“We are very pleased to be able to fly again and to serve our guests starting with domestic routes, and hope to resume full operations as soon as possible,” says Bo Lingam, AirAsia Group President. “We have undertaken a thorough review of our guest handling procedures both on-ground and onboard in light of the COVID-19 Pandemic. We have been working closely with the airport authorities to ensure that all the relevant precautionary measures are in place to ensure a safe, pleasant, and comfortable journey for everyone,” he added.

Lingam also assures the public that the safety and wellbeing of its guests are part of their top priorities during these trying times. That is why AirAsia is working closely with all the regulators, local government, civil aviation, and health authorities to ensure the highest standards of compliance.

The airline company also encourages all of its guests to practice safety by wearing protective masks, observing high personal hygiene, and social distancing. Aircraft with HEPA filters will also be sent for thorough disinfection after each flight.

AirAsia flights are now open for booking via its official website and mobile application. Guests may also use their credit accounts to redeem flights.
