This is pure nostalgia! “Yu Yu Hakusho: Ghost Files” a.k.a. “Ghost Fighter” is hitting video streaming site Netflix this month.
The anime which has become a popular tagalized TV show in 1999 is coming to Netflix Philippines on June 26. The series is best known locally as Ghost Fighter after it was dubbed into Filipino and aired on GMA Network.
The series first aired in 1992 based on the manga created by Yoshihiro Togashi and follows 14-year-old delinquent Yusuke Urameshi, who gets into a fatal car accident while trying to save a child. Yusuke’s soul then arrives in the Underworld, where the gods don’t quite know what to do with him—a young criminal who does a completely selfless act at the end of his life. He then undergoes and eventually passes a series of tests from the Underworld King’s son and is granted a second life on Earth. This time though, he’s assigned an extra job as a Spirit Detective.
Are you ready to see Yusuke (Eugene), Hiei (Vincent), Kurama (Dennis), and Kuwabara (Alfred) once again?
