The beauty brand, Glossier is adding a new product in their skincare roster, and it has been “nearly two years” in the making according to Emily Weiss Founder and CEO of the brand.

Glossier unveiled their latest hand cream in a no BS, no glitz namesake “Hand Cream“.

Glossier designed the Hand Cream with connection and community in mind “We’ve heard so many stories about strangers talking, even becoming friends, because they spotted someone using Balm Dotcom in the wild, and we had hoped that Hand Cream might also inspire connection through beauty,”. However, due to the current world situation, Glossier is aware that connecting looks far more different from the usual with social distancing as the main priority to halt the spread.

Weiss’ added in the statement that to pay tribute to the hard work of all the frontliners who battle the spread of COVID-19 Pandemic, the health workers will be the first to slather the hand cream on, “For the nurses and doctors who are gathering every day to care for patients, it makes sense to get Hand Cream to them first. We’ll be donating the first 10,000 units of Hand Cream to healthcare workers in the U.S., Glossier’s home base.”

Unlike other beauty brands and while Glossier is unable to stir up a new concoction for hand sanitizers they can at least provide them with creams to help control the skin damage from frequent hand washing and sanitizing.

“It’s a BEAUTIFUL formula, delivered in some pretty ingenious packaging, and in addition to its heightened usefulness, we hope it brings you a little joy and comfort at a time when we could all use some.” Weiss closes her statement in the brand’s blog

Glossier is set to release the hand cream on April 23
