The highest rating Korean novela on cable TV will finally hit the local TV via the Kapamilya channel, ABS-CBN starting on June 13.
The Korean Drama, The World of A Married Couple follows the life of Sr. Ji Sun-woo and the betrayal of her husband Lee Tae-oh and the series of unfortunate events that circles the lives of all the people around the couple.
In a local trailer released last Friday, the material shows the growing doubt of Ji Sun-woo (Kim Hee-ae) about the faithfulness of her husband, Lee Tae-oh (Park Hae-joon), as she discovers traces of this in his clothes and other belongings.
The Philippine TV premiere of “The World of a Married Couple” comes just a month after its record-breaking conclusion in South Korea in May. According to Nielsen Korea, the show has broken its own best record in cable TV history with an average of 28.371% Nationwide and 31.669% in Seoul besting other Korean Dramas like Sky Castle and Itaewon Class.
On Friday, the lead role of the scorned wife earned actress Kim the top acting prize in the country’s Baeksang Arts Awards 2020.
“The World of a Married Couple” will air weeknights at 9 p.m., starting June 15 on Kapamilya Channel and ABS-CBN will be available from June 13 on SKY, Cablelink, G Sat, and most member-cable operators of the Philippine Cable Television Association (PCTA) nationwide.
