RABIYA MATEO WAS CROWNED AS THE MISS UNIVERSE PHILIPPINES 2020

After almost eight months of preparation, Miss Universe Philippines 2020 crowned its very first Filipina winner under the Miss Universe Philippines organization headed by national Shamcey Supsup-Lee and Jonas Gaffud.
Over 40 women vie for the Miss Universe Philippines 2020 earlier today in Baguio Country Club. The top five who made at the final round were crowd’s favorite Michele Gumabao of Quezon City, openly bisexual beauty queen Kimberly “Billie” Hakenson from Cavite, Proud Boholana Pauline Amelinckx, Ilongga beauty Rabiya Mateo, and Maria Ysabella “Bella” Ysmael of Parañaque.
Gazini Ganados crowned her successor Rabiya Mateo at the end of the event, after excelling through preliminaries, rounds of swimsuit and evening gown struts, and questions on social issues. The second place went to Maria Ysabella Ysmael.
Final Results:
1st runner-up: Maria Ysabella Ysmael.
2nd runner-up: Michelle Gumabao
3rd runner-up: Pauline Amelinckx
4th runner-up: Kimberly Hakenson

Best in National Costume: Lou Dominique Piczon of Mandaue
Best in Swimsuit: Rabiya Mateo of Iloilo City
Best in Evening Gown: Maria Ysabella Ysmael of Parañaque
Miss Cream Silk, Downy Sweetheart Award, Miss Cetaphil Sun, and Most Beautiful Face Award: Pauline Amelincx of Bohol
Miss MG Philippines: Michele Gumabao of Quezon City
The winner will get The Filipina crown worth almost 5 million pesos, a brand new MG Car, plus all exclusive and lucrative contracts as the ambassador of Olay PLDT, LAZADA, Cream Silk, and Downy.
Rabiya will be representing the Philippines at the international Miss Universe 2020 competition, which is slated for 2021.
