SEE GUCCI’S LUNAR NEW YEAR CAPSULE COLLECTION FOR 2018

Chinese New Year is just a few days away from now, and Gucci will celebrate the year of the dog with a dedicated collection of special items.

The Gucci Chinese New Year collection includes dog motifs that were inspired by a pillow that the artist Helen Downie, AKA Unskilled Worker, gave as a gift to Gucci’s Creative Director Alessandro Michele, which featured an illustration of his two Boston terriers, Bosco and Orso.

You can also view these two characters in the brand’s mobile application, optimized for all the users of iPhone X, which integrates the usage of facial recognition.

Unskilled Worker’s dogs adorn a wide range of pieces that have been developed for the collection, including items of clothing, shoes, handbags, luggage, small leather goods, and of course, accessories.

Women’s brightly colored knitted sweaters and denim shorts feature the images, as do men’s hoodies and bomber jackets.
