WATCH THE OFFICIAL TRAILER OF TRAIN TO BUSAN 2: PENINSULA

Are you ready for it?

After teasing the audience with an updated movie poster, Yeon Sang-ho the director of 2016 blockbuster zombie film Train To Busan just released the trailer of its sequel entitled Train to Busan: Peninsula.

The second film is set four years after the first one, follows the story of a former soldier, played by Gang Dong-won as Jung Seok, who has to escape from the Korean Peninsula, a zombie wasteland. Jung Seok was sent back on a mission to retrieve something and through his mission, he discovers that there are more non-infected survivors left at the peninsula. However, these survivors don’t seem to mean well as they made use of other survivors as bait in an amphitheater-like stadium for the zombies to battle and soon devour.

In a statement director Yeon Sang-ho said that the film does not continue the story of the first and it features different characters. “The scale of Peninsula can’t compare to Train To Busan, it makes it look like an independent film. Train To Busan was a high-concept film shot in narrow spaces whereas Peninsula has a much wider scope of movement.” Sang-ho said.

No definite date of release, though, so, for now, you may want to tease your self with the trailer below:
